Corey Shore

CoLab Facilitating Artist

(Stoughton)

Corey is a firm believer that art is everywhere if we can only open our minds to it; every person holds a story and every space, performance potential. It was this ideal that inspired her to study English and Theatre at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. While there, she joined the UMass Marching Band in the Colorguard as a performer, their equipment manager and a vocalist. Academically she focused on playwriting and scenic design, eventually writing and directing a devised theatre piece for her honors thesis. In the future she plans to continue writing plays as well as poetry and children's literature. Corey currently works as a preschool enrichment specialist at Maplewood Enrichment Center and teaches drama in their after school program. Outside of work she sings with the Zamir Chorale of Boston and performs with local community theatres. Her recent shows include: Chicago (Liz), Moon Over Buffalo (Rosalind), and Company (Sarah) at Canton Community Theatre, as well as Annie (Grace Ferrell) at The Little Theatre of Stoughton. Corey is ecstatic to be joining CoLab this year and looks forward to every moment she spends collaborating with this wonderful team.
